Meet SEOPress user PJ Sachdev and discover his Elephant World blog

PJ is a web developer who uses SEOPress at work and for a few hobby websites he manages as side projects. Today he’s talking to us about the great https://www.elephant-world.com/ blog.

SEOPress: Hi PJ, tell us a little about your blog

PJ: As the name suggests, this blog is all about the wonderful world of Elephants. The website covers all aspects of an Elephant’s life including biology, habitat, evolution and more. We are aiming to be the ultimate resource for people who want to learn about elephants, so we are dedicating a lot of time to improving old articles, creating new evergreen content and listening to our audience.

Elephant World Blog

One important characteristic of our blog is that most of the content is English and Spanish. We noticed that a lot of our audience were young (with many being schoolchildren who were doing homework) so we are focusing on creating even more content targeted to this audience such as our tutorial on how to draw an elephant.

SEOPress: Is that your favorite page on the blog?

PJ: That’s a tough question! I think my favorite page so far has to be the following article about Murderous Mary which details a really peculiar story about an elephant which was hanged for the crime of murder!

SEOPress: Do you get a lot of traffic from your SEO?

PJ: The website gets around 20,000 sessions a month, with the vast majority coming from search engines.

SEOPress: How did you first learn about SEOPress?

PJ: I became dissatisfied with Yoast due to several issues which included the notorious 7.0 bug, the awful branding and the price of the Pro version. These issues led me to look for an alternative, and I am so glad that I found SEOPress. I have been so impressed that I recommended SEOPress to my last two employers who both purchased a copy of the plugin, too.

When I first started using SEOPress I was struck by the difference in the user experience and bloat compared with Yoast. SEOPress looks cleaner and is far more usable. Moreover, SEOPress has fantastic hooks so it is very easy to enable/disable features.

SEOPress: Do you have a favorite feature?

PJ: There are many to choose from, but I really love the 404 monitor and redirection manager. I used to use another plugin on top of Yoast to manage these, but SEOPress has it built in!

SEOPress: Anything you would like to see us improve?

PJ: I can’t think of any feature, I feel satisfied with all that SEOPress offers currently!

SEOPress: Thanks, PJ! If you would like to see your blog featured in our series of articles on SEOPress users, you can start your interview here.
