🎉 New – Semi-automatic redirects
Feature much awaited again by our users: the addition of redirects when deleting content or when changing slug. Now you will be alerted by a notice that will allow you to create a redirect very quickly to avoid losing SEO and generating 404 errors for your users.
The redirect will be automatically assigned to the “Auto Redirect” category.
🎉 New – BuddyPress / BuddyBoss compatibility
We are also happy to announce that our SEOPress plugin is now 100% compatible with BuddyPress (and BuddyBoss). To globally configure the titles and meta descriptions of BuddyPress groups, go to the SEO page, Titles and metas, tab Single post types, BuddyPress groups (at the bottom of the page).
🎉 New – Local Business Widget
The data entered in the Local Business tab (PRO only), can be displayed via our new widget for WordPress simply called Local Business. The developers will be delighted to learn that everything is fully hookable! It’s also a good way to comply with Google E.A.T.

The free version of SEOPress is now translated into Chinese 🇨🇳! The PRO version will be available in a few weeks.
We have also updated all of SEOPress Free and PRO strings for all available languages!
Following feedback from one of our users, we alert you from the admin bar if your site is entirely in noindex (we check the WordPress native setting and SEOPress settings from the Advanced tab of Titles and metas page).
We also inform you from the list of your custom post types, when you hover the SEO item from the admin bar, the global parameters defined. These global indicators are still a work in progress. The goal is get the information when you need it the most.
Do you want to migrate your metadata from the wpSEO plugin? Nothing could be easier with version 4.0 of SEOPress from the SEO page, Tools, Plugins tab then select wpSEO.
A new dynamic variable is available for meta and schemas:
