Import redirects from AIOSEO, crawling optimization, user interface enhanced – SEOPress 7.6

SEOPress 7.6 is now available. We encourage you to update your site as soon as possible to take advantage of the latest features, improvements and security fixes.

πŸŽ‰ New – Import redirects from AIOSEO

Our import tool now supports the import of redirects from the AIOSEO plugin including regular expression, logged in status, redirect type and more.

Go to SEO, Tools, Redirections tab and select AIOSEO plugin to upload your JSON redirects file generated by AIOSEO.

Then click Import.

πŸŽ‰ New – Remove Emoji scripts

WordPress automatically includes a Javascript library in your source code to convert Emoji for old browsers. This is now totally useless! Clean your source code, improve site speed a little and crawling by enabling this option from SEO, Advanced, Advanced tab.

Check “Remove Emoji scripts in your source code to speed up your site performance” and save changes.

Clear your cache.

If you use our cookie bar to allow users to accept or block your tracking scripts, we now send the correct signals to enable advertising-related user data to be shared with Google.

Just update to SEOPress 7.6 to automatically get this feature.

This is our first iteration, ie, this is a beta integration of Google Consent Mode v2.

πŸŽ‰ Enhanced user interface

We spend a lot of time refining and optimizing our user interface to reduce frustration, make each option easier to understand, and reduce support requests.

In this new version, we have added a code editor to certain text fields (the same as that offered natively by WordPress) to allow easier editing, with error management, autocompletion and line numbers.

Our wizard assistant now automatically alerts you at step 1 if your server configuration has some issues. For example, some PHP modules are missing, or your PHP post max size value is too low.

New notices and notifications have been added to both our notification center and SEOPress settings page related to WPML, XML sitemaps and more.

πŸŽ‰ Other news

This new version of SEOPress also brings its share of improvements and fixes including:

  • better compatibility with Polylang, HappyFiles and WPML plugins,
  • a performance issue with the Block Editor and GeneratePress/Kadence Blocks,
  • several PHP errors have been fixed,
  • security has been improved,
  • and many other things!
